JUSTICE...

...BY ALL MEANS.

A woman with very little care for lives that are not her own. A tortured soul that seeks pleasure only in the suffering of others, disguising it in a thin layer of Justice. One that could be deemed a threat to not only the country she "fights" for, but the WORLD entirely. With a morally contorted entity such as she, what will happen to all that stand before her, friend or foe?

Arrogant, cocky, self-indulgent, hardheaded. Jericho is an aggressive individual that is obsessed with the idea of "heroism." Although she cares little about being called a hero herself, Jericho allows it, solely due to believing that "humans need to have someone to look up to." Her extremist version of heroism has painted her as an inhumane monster, despite Jericho's constant defense that it is truly for the greater good.

Jericho is known for being a ruthless combatant on the battlefield. Full of strength that can threaten the very existence of the planet, her fighting prowess is matched by few. When it comes to severe threats, Jericho aims for a quick and decisive victory. However, with more grounded threats, she will have a tendency to prolong it for as long as possible, wanting to relish in it fully. On top of that, she finds sick enjoyment in hunting down her victims, and sometimes won't even kill them, but deeply scar them in all aspects of the body.

The truth, unfortunately, is that Jericho does not care for the concept of a hero, nor the concept of a villain. In her eyes, she only sees "humanity." The actions of man are what matter more than anything else. Heroism and villainy mean nothing. As such, the idea of being a "hero" is a front. Jericho only uses it to eradicated anything that she considers a "threat" to her way of life; one that benefits her and her only. In order to achieve this self-indulgent life, Jericho is willing to ally with anyone she desires to, so long as it brings her closer to her goals.

Abnormal Strength: Jericho's body is immensely powerful. Although she does not look like it, she harvests tremendous strength within her person. Such strength makes fighting Jericho head on a risky endeavor. Even without her sword, she boasts tremendous hand to hand combat capabilities, using pure destructive power as a substitute for skill and precision. For her swordplay, Jericho's strikes are powerful enough to seamlessly cleave through most objects, including rocks and steel. With enough effort, she can break through even the hardest of materials.

Hardening: Strengthening the muscles in her body, Jericho's durability skyrockets. This allows defense to increase beyond its limit, protecting her from gunshots and stab wounds. In addition, enough hardening on her body turns her into a figurative bulldozer, running through objects and utterly destroying them.

Sharpened Senses: Faster than most humans, Jericho's reflexes have been fine tuned in an impressive fashion. Her body can keep up with multiple enemies at once, avoid gunfire, and move with the speed of a lightning strike. Further speeds can be achieved by strengthening her body, but will ultimately cause temporary strain.

Powerful Swordsmanship: Lacking in technique, but making up for it with force, Jericho wields her sword to cut down her enemies. It's effective in spite of the skill that's missing to properly wield it. Thankfully, her erratic ways of holding a sword makes Jericho deadly with most swords, although something light and easy to carry is much more effective.

Dirty Fighter: It's not often that Jericho focuses on pure hand to hand fighting. When she does, however, she does not do it fairly. Every trick necessary—eye gouges, low blows, stomping on toes, dirt in the eye, etc.—is used to get the upper hand. Jericho only ever does this when she decides to "have some fun" instead of outright killing someone off the bat.

Chain Lasso: Controlling a long rope of silver chains, Jericho uses them in combat. She can use them as a means to rope in and take down the enemy, wrap her arms around them for extra melee damage, or even bring down entire structures with both the chains and her raw power alone.

Immense Willpower: Even in the face of utter despair, Jericho fights. Even when against insurmountable odds, Jericho fights. No matter the situation, Jericho will continue to push forwards for the sake of utter destruction and delivery of "Justice." As such, someone of her mettle will be a pain to take down. Her desire to live how she sees fit fuels this force of will, making her the unstoppable monster that is feared throughout the world.

CHAOTIC WILL.

The theoretical "zenith," as well as origin, of Jericho's power. In her endless pursuit of her warped sense of "Justice," she lost sight of why she sought it out to begin with. The more lives she took away, the more disconnected to reality Jericho became. Unable to control both her bloodlust and her unholy anger, she ultimately attained the violent power that she honestly believes was given to her by God. No longer caring for righteousness, Jericho threw all logic and reason out the window, channeling into something that can only be described as pure CHAOS.

Chaotic Will, or coined by her as "The Gift of God," is a state where all of Jericho's capabilities are heightened tremendously. In this state of being, she becomes a berserker, only caring about slaughtering everyone and everything in her wake. Such a state can only be triggered when she willingly allows herself to lose control, for Jericho tries her best to keep that rage in check. In exchange for having catastrophic physical strength, her defenses will become drastically weaker as a result, making it very possible for her to be forcefully knocked out of this state if she takes too much damage. It is still very much easier said than done.

While in this state, Jericho's pupils turn blood-red, her body becomes immensely tighter, and she ends up seeing nothing but red everywhere she looks. Her aura becomes that of a deep shade of crimson mixed with black.

Do you believe in Justice?

Yes, I do.

The origins of Jericho Savanah are complicated, to say the least.

Being as renowned as she is (at least to the world's most powerful people), her origins are heavily argued. This is because that any information of who Jericho was before turning into the monster that she is have all vanished from public records. Some say that she is the daughter of a war veteran, wanting to take her father's reigns and fight on the battlefield on his behalf. Other theories include her being a former child soldier that had been rescued by the United States, only to be retrained and molded to be a soldier for the country instead. Another suggestion indicates of a potential terrorist background, yet she uses that information to assist various countries who wish to know how to take down foreign threats as swiftly as possible.

Of course, no one knows Jericho better than Jericho herself. It should be painfully obvious by now that none of these theories are true. Jericho Savanah was just an average woman. There was not anything inherently special about her at all. Living with normal parents in a normal home with a normal lifestyle. Unremarkable by every sense of the word. She wasn't the famous daughter of a war veteran or a politician. She wasn't destined for anything noteworthy but a life of simplicity and mediocrity.

If that was all there is to it, this would've ended by now.

Yes, Jericho Savanah was merely ordinary. Not one person had cared for her in the slightest. Even when a horrific bombing took the lives of her parents at the cusp of her turning six years old, not one soul cared. It wasn't just her parents, either. Other young kids she had met and grown to know had perished along with their own guardians. Did Jericho get any care in response to it? No. Did anyone end up saving her? No. She became nothing more than a "statistic;" a number in the thousands of young kids who had lost their parents as a result of terrorist attacks and war crimes all throughout the world. Without her loving mother and father by her side, she would be taken under the care of her aging uncle. It was merely the way things were in times of crisis: false promises, crimes against humanity on repeat, and innocents suffering for no apparent reason whatsoever. The suffering varied from person to person, yet the memories of bloodshed and decomposing bodies remained ever so present in the minds of all.

However, Jericho was different. Every night, she dreamed of happier times: both of her parents being alive, graduating school, making tons of friends, getting married, having children, enjoying her life, growing old, dying peacefully. These were all things that any person would go through, yet Jericho held it a lot closer to the chest than most. She so desperately desired to live out those dreams that had been buried deep inside of her. However, with the way things were, that didn't seem to be a possibility anymore. Rather, it's a long forgotten dream buried deep within her own trauma. What was at first cautiously high optimism turned into resentment and anger.

Soon enough, she started asking questions to herself and to her uncle. Why did her parents have to die? Why do people act the way they do? Why are there bad people in the world? What does it mean to be good? What does it mean to be evil? These questions were repeated over and over again as she began to grow up. Her anger for the lost of her parents increased tenfold. Jericho soon lost the optimism of being able to move forward and continue to live her life in spite of tragedy. She could not live with the fact that there are other children out there suffering from the same fate that she had been dealt with in her youth. It made Jericho feel sick. She wanted to do something. She HAD to do something.

So, she did.

Picking on people ten times her size. Going through various training exercises you'd see soldiers do. Practicing hand to hand combat. Practicing marksmanship. Conditioning her body. All of this was so she could grow physically and mentally strong. Every time she lost a fight, she learned from it. If the numbers were too much, she adapted. Should the opportunity arise, Jericho would fight however she saw fit in order to ascertain the most conclusive victory she can gain. Soon earning a reputation of being some sort of "invincible fighter," Jericho focused on both getting a proper education and becoming stronger. By the time she graduated, it became her only focus. Her intention? To join the army. Jericho desired to exterminate evil from the world and exact justice to those that carelessly take away life from the innocent. As such, she needed a means to go all over the world while also being able to deal with problems that occurred in the United States as well. Thanks to her physical condition and hardened attitude, Jericho managed to get enlisted at the turn of her 18th birthday.

As far as origins go, this is it. Jericho is a girl who suffered from tragedy, and instead of moving on from it, she sought to make sure that nobody else had to suffer through what she went through. A hopelessly optimistic goal backed by an emotional level of thinking. It's quite the convincing hook for a story about a woman that wishes to power through a world full of despair, and potentially regain the happiness she discarded in order to reach her goals.

So what happened?

NEXT

From accounts of those who were working together with Jericho, the responses were mostly the same. Her insertion into the armed forces was practically seamless, yet everything that happened during her tenure structured the way Jericho would be once she took an unexpected leave. However, the common denominator from all of these reports is that, as time passed, the woman became more and more unhinged than ever before.

Jericho was optimistic, but more importantly, she was still young. Her fanatical ideas of crushing evil and restoring peace were suddenly challenged when she began to see what people were willing to accomplish to achieve their goals. Morality meant nothing to the monsters that went against the global order. Children being taken away from their parents, men and women slaughtered, entire families destroyed, cultures obliterated, and so much more. She wished to put an end to it all, yet Jericho is just one woman. Her urge to do something led her questioning why her allies were unable to do what needed to be done. There were so many different facets to war that she couldn't bear to stand it anymore. It mattered not how many rescues she had made, how many enemies she stopped, or whatever sort of achievements gained during her time. This wouldn't end for as long as good and evil exist.

Still, Jericho wanted to do something, but what?

If God could not put an end to the violence, could she do it?

A baffling question that suddenly received an unexpected answer.

It happened in an instant. One moment, Jericho was on the frontlines, aiding her allies in an intense shootout. The next moment, she had ended up utterly demolishing the enemy side with very little effort. It wouldn't be with any sort of special weaponry or skill. Rather, her own brute strength had crushed every single person that tried to take away her life and the lives of her fellow soldiers. Bullets didn't slow her down, nor did the explosions that went off all across the battlefield. For a brief moment, Jericho became nothing but an unstoppable juggernaut of violence and devastation, mercilessly eliminating the entire enemy army by herself. What should've been a momentous occasion turned into one of pure concern over what had just transpired.

New life had been born within Jericho, yet it was one fueled by the deep rooted hatred she had for evil, only further emphasized with her many different encounters of truly repulsive human beings. She didn't understand where this strength came from. Hell, Jericho was scared shitless when this unknown power first awakened. Her commander, her friends, and even other branches became concerned for her well-being. They had never seen anything like it before. No sane person would just storm into enemy lines and do what the platinum haired woman did, especially when she had just arrived, and especially when considering how she was so young. For everyone in the military, they were rightfully concerned.

For Jericho? A different matter. Jericho merely felt more alive than ever before.

This is what she had been looking for. Here and now, Jericho obtained the means to enact justice upon the wicked and ensure the futures of the innocents wrapped up in war. If she can just eliminate the enemy, no matter how big or small they are, then the road towards justice and peace can be obtained. The questions she had asked long ago when she was a mere child soon came back up once more. Was there really such a thing as good or evil? No. Not to her. Jericho saw it now. When pushed to the brink, anyone can potentially commit heinous deeds for one reason or another. They hide behind concepts of "good" and "evil" to justify their actions all the same. All that mattered is that they threatened the innocent-no-threatened HER. It went beyond who is considered righteous and wicked. The goal no longer became "exterminate evil and bring about justice." It was now something along the lines of, "exterminate anyone that threatens justice."

She continued to grow stronger after that unexpected incident. The more battles she went through, the stronger she became. Effortless curb-stomping the enemy, saving lives, and bringing forth her own brand of justice upon the deserving. Slowly, but surely, Jericho became uncontrollable, ignoring direct orders from her superiors and taking matters into her own hands. The unspoken "rules" of war were a far cry of what the ruthless soldier had done. They were unnecessary words that prevented absolute justice to be carried out. Her growing strength is testament to what that absolute justice meant. It's almost as if God Himself blessed her with the strength to crush her enemies if He wouldn't do it Himself. Her body count went through the roof, her name became known across the world, and it became clear that anyone who could not match to her prowess were ultimately useless.

News of Jericho's vicious rampage across the battlefield soon spread throughout the world. Countries believed that the United States were in the process of creating a "super solider" that could do everything that their troops and weaponry could do, but far and beyond what any of them had anticipated. Multiple solutions were brought up to the table to deal with Jericho, but all of them had the same eventual, unfortunate outcome; all out war. By all intents and purposes, Jericho is still someone from the United States. Provoking world war was not in any of their interests. Add on to the seemingly indestructible nature of the newfound war machine, and they were all unable to come up with any real way to stop her.

To their astonishment, they didn't need to.

News came in that a grand battle took place between the U.S. and an unknown enemy force. The force in question? Jericho herself. A falling out came to be between her and the military, which resulted in friendly fire and all of the soldiers in her branch being wiped out. By the time reinforcements came in, she had vanished. None of them knew of what had happened here. All they knew is that a horrible tragedy occurred on this day, and one of their own had seemingly been captured. They assumed the worst, for the potential of a super soldier falling into the wrong hands sent them into full-blown panic. However, when they approached the other countries about the soldier's unknown disappearance, they all were as confused as the United States.

But what of Jericho Savanah? What happened to her after having mercilessly killed her own friends and allies?

She's on the run, far away from both her country any anyone else that could've attempted to find her. Even without anyone at her side, she sought to continue onwards with that self-destructive ideology. No matter what, justice needed to be brought upon all. Good and evil, right and wrong, none of that mattered to her. Making those who wronged her pay, destroying those that bring about madness to the world, killing without mercy or forgiveness, and even slaughtering anyone complicit with everything that she deems to be wrong with the world. It mattered not who she aligned herself with, nor who she formed bonds with. They were all dispensable. As long as she obtained her goals, nothing else mattered. Not even humanity.

Especially humanity.
